LACEY QUINBY

speech therapist

I graduated with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education in 2011. I married my Active Duty Air Force husband and traveled the world from duty station to station and realized going back into the classroom wasn't going to work. Thats when I discovered speech therapy. I graduated with my Master's degree in Speech Pathology from Valdosta State University in 2018. I worked as an SLP in private practice and had three babies of my own. My formal education was only the beginning for my love of learning and teaching. I obtained my Certified Lactation Counselor certification in 2023. I started Talkers and Growers to bring quality therapy and intervention to families across Valdosta. I understand the pressure and intensity that comes with being a parent, and I want to be here to support you and your child in any way that I can!

MEET OUR TEAM

The team at Talkers and Growers is made up of two therapists who are also moms—we get it. Parenting is a journey, and we know firsthand that it truly takes a village. We understand the daily challenges of raising little ones, and we bring our expertise in language and feeding development to help support you and your child every step of the way.

We combine evidence based practice with play therapy and parent coaching to provide the best outcomes for you and your child. Our goal is to leave you feeling confident and supported in your child's development.

CAITLYN OWENS

I graduated with my Masters Degree from Valdosta State University in 2018. I then moved to work in a Gwinnett Elementary School serving Cross-Categorical and Autism preschool classrooms as well as students in a Level 2 ASD classroom. That’s where I found my niche with Autism. I married my high school sweetheart and we have two little girls. We’ve lived in Suwannee, GA and Orlando, FL, but we’re back to where we grew up and our families live. Family is really important to me! I strive for my clients and parents to meet their communication goals through hands-on, play-based interventions.
